Ashiatsu is the deepest, most therapeutic, and most relaxing modality available. Clients receive more massage benefits from this technique in a shorter amount of time and maintain the results for a longer period of time. Ashiatsu is a Japenese word that means 'foot pressure'. I am able to target specific areas by using a broad to specific approach with my feet in a way my hands are unable. I use a slow and focused pace which gives a gentle, deep compressive massage that helps clients reduce pain and chronic tension, increases blood and lymph circulation and induces deep relaxation quickly. Clear communication is a key to the success of any massage. Using the Comfort Analog Scale of 1-10 allows clients to give clear feedback on the pressure they are receiving to ensure beneficial, therapeutic results. Please arrive well hydrated and plan to hydrate post session. This modality is in high demand. Please specify this request at the time of your booking.
Rolfing® Structural Integration is named after its founder, Dr. Ida P. Rolf. It is a form of bodywork that works on the connective tissues, called fascia, that are throughout the entire body. When the fascia (and muscles) are shortened and tightened they will pull the body out of alignment. Rolfing® addresses life-long patterns of tension, and allows gravity to help realign your body for optimum health and well-being. This deep therapy is highly effective for improving posture, reducing or eliminating chronic pain, and easing mental stress. Traditionally Rolfing® is a 10 session series. I offer shorter series, typically 3-5 sessions, to address specific areas. Please arrive well hydrated and plan to hydrate post session.
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It involves an array of techniques such as effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, and friction. These techniques encourage circulation and the softening of connective tissue. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, and greater flexibility. Please arrive well hydrated and plan to hydrate post session.
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you feel comfortable with amount of pressure. Soreness sometimes occurs after the session and plenty of water should be ingested to keep the tissue hydrated and to help flush and remove toxins that have been released from the tissue during the session. Please arrive well hydrated and plan to hydrate post session.
Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are used as a tool to deepen relaxation, warm the muscles, and promote circulation. Muscles that are heated with these stones ease tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating. I often use Hot Stones with all my other modalities at no extra charge. Please arrive well hydrated and plan to hydrate post session.
Prenatal Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Prenatal Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation. Please arrive well hydrated and plan to hydrate post session.
Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to specific zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology aims to harmonize your entire body. It’s based on a theory that specific parts of the foot are connected to certain organs and body systems. Please arrive well hydrated and plan to hydrate post session.
Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. Chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy work schedule. Many companies have hired me to come to their business to work on their staff for stress relief, injury prevention, improve morale, and show their staff how much they appreciate them. Chair massage is also great for bridal parties, birthday celebrations, retirement parties, etc. Usually a minimum of 2 hours is required to book. (8 people for 15 minutes each or 6 people for 20 minutes each, etc - based on $140/hour rate) Additional travel and set up costs may apply. My regular massage rates apply for chair massage at my office. Call for details or any questions. Thank you.
